I buy this brand of cappuccino and I love that I can reuse the canisters as desk caddies. Here's a sample of how I repurpose the empty canisters. Basically, all I used for this particular caddy was recycled paper, printed graphics, and Modge Podge. (and of course, the pearls, which I glue gunned to the top). As for the lids, well, I've been saving those for the time being as I'm figuring out how I can repurpose those. I kinda have an idea. Will keep you posted. Have a great day! ;)
I almost stopped using these little hair pins simply because it was annoying to find them scattered all over my drawer. But then, I came across an empty TicTac dispenser. Once again, I pondered on some other use for these little containers before throwing them in the recycle bins. Ding, ding, ding! It hit me...why not use them as hair pin dispensers! It is simple storage (compact and see-thru) and the hair pins are easy to dispense!
Besides hair pins, these dispensers can be used for toothpicks, paper clips, sewing needles, etc. They can be handy to take on road trips, when you don't want to take your bulky storage containers.
Keep this in mind when you run across other small plastic containers. Before you consider getting rid of them, you might want to rethink about ways to repurpose them! :)
Don't throw these plastic critters away! I recently purchased some shoes for my kids at CP. Normally, I would have just thrown them into the plastic recycle bin. However, I took a couple of minutes to ponder on whether there was some other use for them in our house. Yes, there was! I figured one can repurpose them into holders for scarfs, belts, etc! And if you want to get creative, you can even decorate them! (see pic below)
I found this small White zipper rosette in my This and That recycle box; I used my handy dandy glue gun to attach it to the plastic holder. The plastic holder shown here is long and with the rosette in place, it kinda looks like a flower. Sure wish the rosette had been a colored one, it would have looked really kool. This plastic holder now serves as a holder for my daughter's scarfs. It's got a new purpose in life! ;D
